How to measure a playerYouth
| Size | Chest | Body length | Typical age |
|---|---|---|---|
| YS | 26–28 in | 20 in | 6–7 |
| YM | 28–30 in | 22 in | 8–9 |
| YL | 30–32 in | 24 in | 10–11 |
| YXL | 32–34 in | 26 in | 12–13 |
Measurements are of the garment, laid flat and doubled for chest and waist. Between two sizes, most coaches size up.

Who orders this set
Little League boards and team managers order this set, often when the old supplier has raised prices again.
Some boards buy for the whole league at once. Others leave it to each manager, who orders for 12 kids and a couple of spares.
The set is a youth jersey and youth pants per player. The local league name goes on the chest, and the team or sponsor name can go on the back.
Rec teams outside a chartered league can order the same thing as youth baseball uniforms for any program. This page is shaped around league needs: many teams, one board, one opening day.
Price is usually the first question. Next comes durability over a full season. Then timing: will the boxes arrive before opening day? This page answers all three.
You can reach us at (213) 449-3746 by phone or WhatsApp, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific. A quick call before the board votes can settle open questions about colors, rules and dates.
What a set includes
Socks and caps are not included in the set price. Most leagues add socks per player, and many already have a cap supplier.
Two-button and V-neck fronts are the usual picks at this age. There are fewer buttons to fumble with in the dugout, and nothing to catch on a slide.
Everything is printed on one machine run, so the jersey trim and the pant stripe come out in the same shade. Mixed suppliers rarely manage that.
- One sublimated youth jersey, two-button or V-neck, in 160 gsm polyester interlock
- One pair of youth pants in 220 gsm double-knit with a double knee
- A printed stripe or piping on the pants to match the jersey
- Player name, number, league name, team name and sponsor marks, all included
- No setup, art or per-color fees on any team
Built around common league rules
Every league follows its own rulebook and local district guidance. The points below are common practice, not a rulebook quote, so confirm them with your league before you approve.
We build the proof to whatever your league tells you. If your district has a local rule, send it with the order.
Our summary of Little League uniform rules in practice explains what boards usually check and why.
When in doubt, bring the proof to your league's equipment or uniform officer. They can approve it in a few minutes.
- Back numbers 6 inches or taller, in a color that contrasts with the jersey
- No white or grey sleeves on colored jerseys unless you ask for them, since many leagues discourage them for pitchers
- League name, division and sponsor placed the way most local leagues expect
- Each number used only once per team roster
Youth sizing, YS to YXL
Sizes run YS, YM, YL and YXL. Larger 12-year-olds can take adult S, which we add on request.
Order by chest measurement, not age. Two kids on the same 10U team can be three sizes apart. Sizes picked by age alone often end up swapped between families.
Parents should measure the child in a t-shirt, around the fullest part of the chest. The youth and adult size chart turns that number into a size.
Kids grow between registration and opening day. For a child right on the line, order one size up and roll the pants once at the ankle.
Pants fit a little differently from jerseys. A child between sizes can wear the larger pants with a belt. That buys a full season of growth.
Whole-league orders
A league ordering for eight teams gets one design, eight color variations and a single discount tier across all of them.
We build a league proof sheet showing every team side by side, so the board approves once. Sponsors go on the back above the number or on a sleeve. We keep the sponsor list on file for next season.
Each set counts as one piece toward the tier. Socks added to the same order count too.
The board can also mix divisions in one order. T-ball, minors and majors teams all count toward the same tier, even with different designs.
Here is how the math works for a small league. Six teams of 12 is 72 sets, which lands in the 15% tier. That is $47.59 per player, or $3,426.48 in total with free shipping.
| League order | Sets | Discount | Per player |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | 10 | Base price | $55.99 |
| One team | 12 | 5% | $53.19 |
| Two teams | 24 | 10% | $50.39 |
| Four teams | 48 | 15% | $47.59 |
| Eight teams | 100 | 20% | $44.79 |
Planning team colors across a league
Picking eight colors sounds easy until two teams meet in a game and look the same from the bleachers.
Plan the color set as a group. Our guide on designing a custom baseball jersey explains contrast and number color in more depth.
Ask the proof sheet to show every team at the same scale. A color that looks bright on its own can look dull beside its neighbor.
- Keep navy, black and dark green on separate divisions, since they blur under evening lights
- Give red and maroon teams different number colors
- Use the league logo in the same spot on every team for picture day
- Choose one pant color for the whole league so spare pants fit any team
Sponsors on youth jerseys
Local businesses pay for a lot of Little League. Their names usually go on the back above the number or on a sleeve.
Placement is included in the price, and sponsor logos are sublimated like everything else. A one-color logo reads best at youth sizes.
Send each sponsor's logo as the largest file they have. A screenshot of a website header is usually too small and prints soft.
We keep every sponsor logo on file, so next season only the changes need new art.
A sponsor that backs two teams can appear on both. Tell us which teams carry which sponsor, and the proof sheet labels each one.
League timeline for a spring opening day
Most leagues aim for jerseys in hand a week before opening day. Our guide to ordering team uniforms in bulk covers roster collection in more detail.
If your league runs a fall season, count back the same way from the first game. Six to eight weeks is a comfortable window for a multi-team order.
- December: the board picks the design and team colors.
- Early January: send the design and team list. A multi-team proof sheet arrives in 2–3 business days.
- January: managers send rosters with names, numbers and sizes.
- Approve the proof sheet and pay the PayPal invoice. We accept PayPal.
- Production runs 2–3 weeks after the invoice is paid.
- Free ground shipping takes 2–4 business days inside California.
- Hand out uniforms by team at the pre-season meeting.
Pants, socks and caps
Sets include jersey and pants. Team baseball socks and belts can be added per player and ship in the same box, sorted by team.
Socks come in Youth, M, L and XL. Most Little League players wear Youth, and coaches take M or L.
The pants are double-knit with a second layer at the knee. That is where youth pants fail first, from sliding and kneeling at second base.
Caps are not part of this set. If your league already buys caps elsewhere, match the jersey colors to the cap and send us a photo.
Socks added to the order count toward the same tier. At 24 or more pieces, a pair of socks is $8.99.
Delivery sorted by team
A whole-league order arrives with each team's sets bagged and labeled. Volunteers do not have to sort 100 jerseys on a garage floor.
Split delivery to several US addresses is free. Ship one team to a manager in one town and the rest to the league field, if that is easier.
Read our shipping and returns details for transit times outside California.
Every box carries a packing list. Managers can check sizes against the roster before handing anything out.
Mistakes boards make with league orders
Every one of these is easy to avoid with a checklist and an extra week. The proof stage is where the board has full control, so use it.
After approval, sizes and spellings are locked and production starts.
- Approving before every manager has checked spelling and numbers
- Ordering exact sizes in January for kids who will grow by April
- Forgetting two spare jerseys per team for late sign-ups
- Letting each team pick its own font, which breaks the league look
- Waiting until February, which leaves no room for a second proof round
