All productsHow to choose the pieces your team needs
Start with what the players wear every week, not what they wear on picture day. Practice tops and pants take far more use than the game jersey.
A set means one jersey and one pair of pants per player, at one price, with youth and adult sizes mixed freely. Teams starting from scratch usually order the jersey and pants uniform set first, then add practice and cold-weather layers. The table compares every piece in this category.
| Piece | Price from | Best for | Key detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Custom Baseball Uniforms (set) | $55.99 per player | Teams replacing everything | Jersey plus double-knit pants, youth and adult mixed |
| Custom Baseball Pants | $37.99 | Teams keeping their jerseys | 220 gsm double-knit, double knee, printed piping |
| Baseball Practice Shirts | $26.99 | Practice, cage work, warm-ups | 130 gsm micro-mesh or 150 gsm interlock |
| Long Sleeve Baseball Shirts | $26.99 | Undershirts, cool evenings, fans | Fitted stretch undershirt or 3/4 raglan |
| Baseball Jersey T-Shirts | $26.99 | Booster clubs, travel days | Soft tee with printed placket and stripes |
| Baseball Hoodies & Sweatshirts | $39.99 | Dugout, cold games, travel | Sublimated fleece or classic fleece, hood or crewneck |
| Custom Team Baseball Socks | $9.99 | Knicker uniforms, full set look | Knitted in up to 4 colors, cushioned foot |
Baseball pants: length, color and build
Pants come in three lengths. Knickers stop below the knee and show the sock. Full-length pants run to the shoe. Open-bottom pants are full length with a relaxed hem that sits over the cleat.
Color is the second choice. White looks sharp at home but needs care. Grey hides infield dirt and is the usual road pant. A team color works for alternates and adult teams.
White pants are the ones that cause trouble. They stay white if they are washed cold soon after the game with a little oxygen bleach. Left in a bag over a weekend, red infield clay sets in.
Our double-knit custom baseball pants print the piping, stripe or pinstripe into the fabric. The stripe comes from the same file as your jersey trim, so it matches exactly and never frays like sewn tape.
- 220 gsm polyester double-knit with a second layer at the knee
- Elastic waist with an internal drawstring and seven belt loops
- Zip fly with hook closure and two set-in back pockets
- Bar-tacked crotch seam and pocket corners for sliding
Practice shirts for the work players do every week
A practice shirt gets worn three times a week, plus cage sessions and pre-game warm-ups. It should be cheap enough to buy two per player.
The team practice shirts with your logo come in 130 gsm micro-mesh or 150 gsm interlock at the same price. Micro-mesh is cooler. Interlock is smoother and holds fine print better.
A chest logo is included, and a back number or name is optional at no extra charge. Coaches find that a number on the back helps them run drills and call players by number from across the field.
Raglan sleeves in a second color make a plain practice shirt look like part of the uniform. Crew and V-neck collars are both available at the same price.
Two shirts per player is the usual order. One is in the wash while the other is in the bag, and the extra pieces often lift the cart into a better tier.
Long sleeves and undershirts
Two different shirts live under this heading. One is worn under the uniform. The other is worn instead of it.
The fitted undershirt is 160 gsm polyester-spandex with four-way stretch. It goes under a jersey or a sleeveless vest, in a solid team color or a two-tone sleeve.
Order undershirts in two sleeve colors to go with a sleeveless vest, and one vest gives the team two looks. A small chest logo is included.
The 3/4 raglan is a relaxed 150 gsm knit with contrast sleeves. Players use it for warm-ups and travel, and parents order it for the stands.
Some leagues need a solid, non-white sleeve on pitchers. The fitted long sleeve baseball undershirts solve that when the whole staff wears the same color.
Jersey tees for fans, coaches and travel days
A jersey tee is a soft t-shirt printed to look like a jersey. The placket, the buttons, the pinstripes and the chest script are all part of the print.
Booster clubs and team parents order printed baseball jersey t-shirts because they cost less than a game jersey and wash with everything else. Coaches wear them on travel days.
The fabric is 150 gsm soft-hand polyester. It feels close to a cotton tee but takes sublimation, so every shirt can carry a different name and number for the same price.
Youth programs also use jersey tees for picture day and team travel. Players keep the game jersey clean for games. The tee takes the abuse of a long car ride and a hotel pool deck.
Hoodies, crewnecks and cage layers
Early spring games and Bay Area evenings get cold, and players spend long stretches sitting in the dugout. A team hoodie is the layer they will actually wear.
There are two builds. The sublimated version is 280 gsm polyester fleece with the jersey design printed all the way around. The classic version is 320 gsm cotton-poly fleece with a printed or embroidered chest logo.
We do not list a separate cage jacket. Most teams use the team hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts for cage work and the walk from the parking lot. The crewneck costs the same as the hoodie.
Player name and number on the back are included on the sublimated version. That makes it easy to sort out whose hoodie is whose on a cold bench.
Knitted team socks
Socks are what tie knickers to the jersey. With knicker pants, they are the most visible color on the lower half of the uniform.
The custom knitted team baseball socks are knitted to order in up to four colors. The calf hoops can match the pant piping and sleeve trim.
Socks show most with knickers, so order them together and ask for the hoops to match the pant piping on the proof. They are a polyester, nylon and spandex blend with a cushioned terry foot and heel. The ribbed top stays up without a garter, and the color is knitted in, so there is no print to fade.
Sizes are Youth, M, L and XL. Match them to the player's foot and calf, not the jersey size.
Fabric guide for uniform pieces
Each piece uses a fabric picked for its job. The pants need weight and a tough knee. Practice tops need to dry fast. Layers need warmth.
Everything printed is polyester, because sublimation only bonds with polyester. For a deeper comparison, see our baseball jersey fabric guide.
| Piece | Fabric | Weight | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pants | Polyester double-knit, double knee | 220 gsm | Holds shape and survives sliding |
| Practice shirt | Micro-mesh or interlock | 130 or 150 gsm | Dries fast between drills |
| Undershirt | Polyester-spandex | 160 gsm | Four-way stretch, sits flat under a jersey |
| 3/4 raglan and jersey tee | Soft-hand polyester knit | 150 gsm | Casual feel, full-color print |
| Sublimated hoodie | Polyester fleece | 280 gsm | Full design printed all over |
| Classic hoodie | Cotton-poly fleece | 320 gsm | Heavier and warmer, chest logo |

Sizing notes for pants, tops and socks
Pants run YS to YXL and adult S to 3XL. They have an elastic waist with a drawstring, so most players fit their usual size even between growth spurts.
Do not assume a player's pant size matches his jersey size. Measure waist and leg length, because a tall, thin player can need a bigger pant for length.
Practice shirts, long sleeves, tees and hoodies run YS to YXL and S to 3XL. The fitted undershirt is meant to be close, so do not size it up for growth. Hoodies are worn over a jersey, so many players go one size up.
Check measurements on our size guide for every product before you send the roster.
Budget examples for 12 and 24 players
Every piece in the cart counts toward one tier. Adding practice wear to a uniform order is often what moves the cart to the next discount.
League boards ordering for many teams should read our notes on ordering uniforms for a whole league. The examples below use the published tier prices.
| Order | Pieces | Tier | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 practice shirts and 12 pairs of socks | 24 | 10% off | $399.36 |
| 12 hoodies | 12 | 5% off | $455.88 |
| 12 uniform sets and 12 practice shirts | 24+ | 10% off | $896.16 |
| 24 pairs of pants for a team keeping its jerseys | 24 | 10% off | $820.56 |
| 24 long sleeve undershirts and 24 pairs of pants | 48 | 15% off | $1,325.52 |
| 24 practice shirts and 24 hoodies | 48 | 15% off | $1,366.32 |
California weather and what to add
What you add around the jersey depends on where you play. California has very different seasons a few hours apart.
Teams in San Francisco and the Bay Area deal with fog and wind on most spring evenings. Hoodies and fitted long-sleeve undershirts get worn there from February into June.
Central Valley and Inland Empire teams need the opposite. Micro-mesh practice shirts and knickers with light socks make long summer practices easier.
Southern California coastal teams sit in between. A practice shirt and one warm layer usually cover the whole season.
Sun is the other factor. Sublimated color is inside the fiber, so practice tops and pants do not crack or peel after a summer outdoors. White and grey pants also stay cooler than dark ones in direct sun.
Common mistakes with pants and practice wear
The most common mistake is ordering practice tops in colors that clash with the game uniform. Build them from the same artwork as your custom team game jerseys so warm-ups look like the same program.
- Choosing white pants for a youth team with no plan for washing them
- Ordering knickers without socks, so the lower leg looks mismatched
- Copying jersey sizes onto the pant column without measuring
- Sizing fitted undershirts up for growth, so they bunch under the jersey
- Buying only one practice shirt per player for a three-practice week
- Ordering hoodies after the cold weather has already started
Pants & Practice Wear: questions answered
Do pants come with the jerseys?
Only in the uniform sets. Jerseys on their own do not include pants, but pants can be added to any jersey order.
What pant lengths can we choose?
Knicker, full length and open-bottom. Each is made from the same 220 gsm double-knit with a double knee.
Will the pant stripe match our jerseys?
Yes. The piping or stripe is printed from the same artwork file as the jersey trim, so the colors are identical.
How do we keep white pants white?
Wash them cold soon after games and add a little oxygen bleach. Avoid chlorine bleach on polyester.
Can practice shirts have numbers?
Yes. A back number or name is optional and included in the price.
What is the difference between the two long sleeve shirts?
The fitted undershirt is 160 gsm stretch fabric worn under a jersey. The 3/4 raglan is a relaxed 150 gsm shirt worn on its own.
Do you make cage jackets?
We do not list a separate cage jacket. Most teams use our hoodie or crewneck for cage work and cold dugouts.
How many colors can the socks have?
Up to four knitted colors, so hoops can match your pant piping and sleeve trim.
What sock sizes do you offer?
Youth, M, L and XL. Pick by the player's foot, not by jersey size.
Can we order practice wear without game jerseys?
Yes. Any mix of pieces counts, as long as the order reaches 10 pieces.
Do hoodies include names and numbers?
Yes, on the sublimated version. The classic fleece version carries a printed or embroidered chest logo.
How long do pants and practice wear take?
Production is 2 to 3 weeks after the PayPal invoice is paid. Free shipping then takes 2 to 5 business days in the US.
