Blank Baseball Jerseys
Blank jerseys are the plain version of our game jersey: one body color, a trim color on the collar and sleeves, and nothing printed on top. Teams buy them as practice jerseys, as spares to heat-press later, or because a parent volunteer does the numbering. They start at $26.99 per jersey.

What blank means here
We still sublimate the body, so the color is exactly what you asked for and matches your game jerseys. There is simply no lettering, number or logo on it.
That is different from a stock blank off a wholesale shelf. Stock blanks come in a fixed list of colors, and the navy rarely matches anyone's navy. Ours are dyed to your shade. A blank practice jersey and a printed game jersey sit next to each other without looking like two teams.
You can pick a solid body, a two-tone raglan, or a body with a single sleeve stripe for the same price.
Trim is where blanks can still look sharp. A navy body with a white collar and a thin white sleeve band reads as a real uniform, even with nothing on the chest.
- Any solid or two-tone color, matched to your game set
- Crew, V-neck or two-button front
- Contrast collar and sleeve trim in a second color
- Youth and adult sizes in one order
- Ready for your own heat-press numbers if you prefer
When a blank jersey is the right buy
Blanks earn their place when numbers, names or rosters are not settled yet. They also make sense when someone on your side has a heat press and the time to use it.
The fabric is the same 160 gsm interlock as our game jerseys. So a blank can be upgraded on a reorder without the two sets looking different.
Blanks are a poor fit for game day in most leagues. Umpires and scorekeepers need numbers, and many league rules require them on the back.
- Practice days, when nobody needs a name on their back
- Tryouts, where rosters and numbers change week to week
- Camps and clinics that need 40 or 60 matching tops fast
- A few spare jerseys for walk-ons and late sign-ups
- Teams with a parent who already numbers jerseys at home
Blank or printed: the real price difference
A blank starts at $26.99. Our custom baseball jerseys with names and numbers start at $32.99, with everything printed in.
That $6 gap shrinks fast once you price heat-transfer numbers yourself. Vinyl, a press, a weeding tool and an evening of pressing all cost something. If you would end up adding names and numbers to every jersey anyway, the printed jersey is often the better deal.
Blanks win when you truly want nothing on the jersey, or only a number added by hand to a few of them. If you only need a team name or one logo on the front, ask and we price that small upgrade on the proof.
One more cost to count is time. Pressing 15 jerseys with names and numbers takes most of an evening, and a crooked number usually means buying another blank.
Price per blank jersey
The discount counts every piece in your cart. Blanks mixed with printed game jerseys, pants or socks all add up to the same tier.
Mixed orders are common, such as 24 blanks for practice and 12 printed jerseys for games. To price one, get a quote for the whole order and we send the totals with the color proof.
| Pieces in cart | Discount | Per blank jersey |
|---|---|---|
| 10–11 | Base price | $26.99 |
| 12–23 | 5% off | $25.64 |
| 24–47 | 10% off | $24.29 |
| 48–99 | 15% off | $22.94 |
| 100+ | 20% off | $21.59 |
Heat-pressing your own numbers
The polyester interlock takes heat-transfer vinyl and sublimation numbers well. Polyester is less forgiving than cotton, though, so a few rules matter.
Press at the temperature the vinyl maker recommends for polyester, not the cotton setting. Too much heat or a long dwell time leaves a shiny box mark around the number.
Sublimation transfer numbers work too, but only on light body colors. Sublimation ink is transparent, so a white number cannot be sublimated onto a navy blank. Use vinyl for light numbers on dark jerseys.
- Press on dry jerseys straight from the bag. There is no need to wash them first.
- Mark the center line with a fold or a ruler so every number lands in the same spot.
- Press a test number on the inside hem of one jersey before you start the roster.
- Use a cover sheet between the press and the jersey every time.
- Let each number cool before peeling if the vinyl is a cold-peel type.
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash, then wash inside out in cold water.
Matching blanks to a printed game set
The most common blank order comes from a team that already has printed jerseys and needs practice tops in the same colors. Send us your game jersey order details or a photo and we match the body and trim.
If you are ordering both at once, put them in one cart. The pieces share one proof and one discount tier, and they ship in the same box. Our page on matching team baseball jerseys covers how to plan a full set.
Blanks are also handy for coaches. A coach in a blank team-color jersey looks part of the team without anyone confusing them for a player.
Blank jersey versus practice shirt
If you only need a practice top, the baseball practice shirts page has a lighter mesh fabric with a small logo included. It costs about the same.
Blanks are the better choice when you want the game-jersey cut and fabric with nothing on it. They also make sense if the practice top must be able to become a game jersey later.
A lot of teams end up with both over a few seasons. Blanks for tryouts in the fall, printed practice shirts once the roster is set in spring.
| Blank jersey | Practice shirt | |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric | 160 gsm interlock | Lighter mesh |
| Cut | Same as our game jerseys | Practice top |
| None | Small logo included | |
| From | $26.99 | $26.99 |
| Best when | You want the game look with nothing on it | You want a logo and maximum airflow |
Fabric and color details
Every blank is 160 gsm polyester interlock. It has a smooth face, a little stretch, and it dries quickly after a wash. Our baseball jersey fabric guide compares it with the lighter options.
The color is sublimated into the fiber, so it does not fade from the sun or washing. Send a Pantone code, a hex code, or a clear photo of your current jersey in daylight.
Dark colors like navy, black and maroon hide dirt best on a practice jersey. White blanks look sharp but show every infield slide, so most teams reserve them for game day.
Two-tone raglans hide wear well. A grey body with team-color sleeves keeps its look after a dusty season of drills.
Sizing a blank order
Blanks use the same pattern as our printed jerseys. A player who wears an adult M in one wears an adult M in the other. Sizes run youth YS–YXL and adult S–3XL.
Camps are the tricky case, because you do not know who is coming. Order heavier in the middle sizes and keep a few youth and adult extremes. Our baseball uniform size chart lists the measurements for each size.
If you plan to heat-press numbers, order one or two extra jerseys in common sizes. A misplaced number on polyester is hard to undo.
For tryouts, order by age group rather than by name. A 10U and 12U tryout with 30 kids each can be sized by the typical spread of each age.
Building a full practice uniform
A blank jersey is half a practice outfit. Teams that want everyone to look the same at practice usually add pants and socks in the same order.
Grey is the practical pant color for practice, since it hides dirt better than white. You can add grey or team-color baseball pants to the same cart and they count toward the blank jersey discount.
- Blank jersey in the team's darker color
- Grey practice pants with an optional printed side stripe
- Team-color socks to match the jersey trim
- A belt in the same color as the socks
Ordering, proof and delivery
Blank orders still get a proof. It is a quick one showing the body color and trim, so you confirm the shade before production.
After you approve, we email a PayPal invoice. Production takes 2–3 weeks once it is paid, and free ground shipping takes 2–5 business days, or 2–4 inside California.
Split delivery to several US addresses is free. That helps a league sending practice jerseys to coaches in different towns. The shipping and returns page explains split delivery in more detail.
The minimum is 10 pieces, and blanks can be mixed with any other product to reach it.
Plan around your first practice, not your first game. A blank order placed four weeks before practice starts arrives with room to spare.
Blank Baseball Jerseys: questions answered
Can I heat-press my own numbers on these?
Yes. The polyester interlock takes heat-transfer vinyl and sublimation numbers. Use the vinyl maker's polyester setting and avoid a long dwell time.
Are the blanks the same fabric as the printed jerseys?
Yes, 160 gsm polyester interlock. If you later order printed jerseys in the same color, the two sets match.
How much are blank jerseys?
From $26.99 at 10 pieces. At 24–47 pieces in the cart the price drops to $24.29.
Can we add just a team name to the front?
Yes. Front text or a single logo is a small upgrade, and we quote it on the proof.
Which colors are available?
Any color, because the body is sublimated rather than stock-dyed. Send a Pantone code or a photo.
Do you make blank full-button jerseys?
Yes, at the button-up price. Ask on the quote form.
Is there a proof for a blank order?
Yes, a quick one showing body color and trim, so you confirm the shade before production.
How long does a blank order take?
Production is 2–3 weeks after the color is confirmed and the invoice is paid. Free shipping adds 2–5 business days.
Can blanks and printed jerseys share one order?
Yes. They go in the same cart, count toward the same discount and ship together.
Will a heat-pressed number last?
That depends mostly on the vinyl and the press settings. Follow the maker's polyester settings, wash inside out in cold water and skip the dryer.
What is the minimum?
10 pieces, with mixed sizes and products allowed.
How do we pay?
We send a PayPal invoice after you confirm the proof. We accept PayPal.
