Decoration options
Built for a 60 to 80 game year
A rec uniform sees 15 games and a few washes. A travel uniform sees three games on Saturday and two more on Sunday. In between, it goes through a hotel laundry dryer.
That changes what matters. Color has to survive constant washing. Pants have to survive constant sliding. The jersey has to look the same in July as it did in February.
This set is built for that load. The jersey is sublimated, so there is nothing to crack or peel, and the pants carry a double knee.
Programs usually order once a year before the spring season. Some add a second order in late summer for fall ball and new players.
Programs from Sacramento to San Diego follow the same pattern. They buy hard, wear it hard and replace it when players outgrow it.
What a travel set includes
Socks and caps are not part of the set price. Most programs already have a cap they like, and socks can be added per player.
If you want extra pants for a second color, order matching custom baseball pants in the same cart. They count toward the same discount tier.
Every set is made to order for your roster. Nothing comes from a blank stock shelf with a heat-pressed number on top.
Belts are not included either. Most teams buy one belt color for the whole program and keep it for years.
- One sublimated game jersey per player: full-button, two-button, V-neck or sleeveless
- One pair of 220 gsm double-knit pants with a double knee and printed stripe or piping
- Names, numbers, logo and sponsor marks, all included
- Youth and adult sizes mixed on one roster
Home, away and third
Most programs add a second jersey at the single-jersey price when they order the set. Every piece counts toward one tier, so the extra jersey often lowers the price of everything else.
A third jersey for hot tournaments is the next most common add. Many teams choose sleeveless baseball jerseys worn over a colored undershirt.
All designs share one proof and one invoice. Here is how it works for a 14-player roster.
Most programs make home white or grey and away the team color. The third jersey is where teams try something louder, like camo or a dark alternate.
Price out the full build before the parent meeting. Families agree faster when they see one per-player number that covers every jersey.
| Build for 14 players | Pieces | Tier | Per player |
|---|---|---|---|
| Set only | 14 | 5% | $53.19 |
| Set + away jersey | 28 | 10% | $80.08 |
| Set + away + third jersey | 42 | 10% | $109.77 |
Choosing a cut by age group
Every cut costs the same, so pick on look and comfort. Older players usually push for full-button because that is what they will wear in high school.
Read the comparison of button-up, two-button and V-neck before your parent meeting. It answers most questions before they come up.
Some clubs use one cut for every age group so the whole program looks alike. That is fine too, and it makes reorders simpler.
| Age group | Common choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 8U to 9U | Two-button or V-neck | Pulls on fast, nothing for small hands to fumble |
| 10U to 12U | Two-button or V-neck | Comfortable, clean look for big chest numbers |
| 13U and up | Full-button | Looks like a high school or college uniform |
| Third jersey, any age | Sleeveless | Cooler for summer tournaments in the desert |
Durability on tournament weekends
Pants carry a second fabric layer at the knee and a bar-tacked crotch seam. Those are the two places travel pants fail first.
Jerseys are sublimated, so nothing peels. In practice, players outgrow the uniform before it wears out.
For a lighter game jersey on the same set, swap in the mesh baseball jerseys at no price change. The 130 gsm micro-mesh breathes better on 100-degree afternoons in Arizona and the Central Valley.
Interlock stays the better choice for spring and fall. It is heavier, hides undershirts and holds sharp detail.
Wash uniforms cold and inside out, and skip bleach. Treat infield clay stains before the wash, since polyester releases them more easily while they are fresh.
Hang jerseys to dry in the hotel room between games if you can. They dry fast and stay crisp for the next morning's first pitch.
Mixed youth and adult sizes on one roster
Travel rosters often cross the youth and adult line. A 13U team can have a player in YL and a catcher in adult XL.
Youth sizes run YS to YXL and adult sizes run S to 3XL. Both mix freely in one order at one price.
Measure every player, even the ones who wore last year's uniform. Twelve months is a long time at this age.
The youth and adult uniform size chart shows where youth sizes end and adult sizes begin.
Pants follow the same rule. A tall 12U player may need adult pants with a youth jersey, and that is no problem in one order.
When a player sits right between YXL and adult S, choose adult S. The longer body stays tucked through a full season of growth.
Designs that hold up in tournament photos
Travel teams get photographed constantly. Parents shoot from behind the backstop. Tournaments post bracket winners online. Recruiting videos show the back of the jersey on every swing.
That makes the back of the jersey the most important part of the design. A clear name and a big number matter more than a busy sleeve pattern.
Sketch the full set in Design Your Jerseys and look at it from across the room. If you cannot read the number, an umpire cannot either.
- Pick one bold accent color and use it on all three jerseys
- Keep the logo the same size and spot on home, away and third
- Outline numbers on patterned or camo bodies
- Avoid thin script for names on mesh, since fine lines lose crispness
Before your first tournament
Tournament directors and umpires look at uniforms more closely than rec leagues do. Run through our travel ball uniform checklist before you approve the proof.
Rules on numbers, logos and undershirts vary by tournament organization. Treat the list above as general practice and confirm details with each event you enter.
If a tournament requires a different jersey color than both of yours, a third jersey solves it without a rush order.
- Every player has a unique number, with no duplicates across home and away
- Numbers are large and contrast clearly with both jerseys
- Pants are one color across the roster for each uniform
- Undershirt color matches the plan for each jersey
- Spare jerseys are in the bag for guest players
Order timeline for a spring season
Work back from your first tournament date. Five to six weeks is the safe window for a travel order.
Families take longer than you expect to send sizes. Build a week of slack into the start of the timeline, not the end.
Fall ball works the same way. Count back six weeks from the first fall event and start collecting sizes then.
- Collect sizes, names and numbers from every family.
- Send the design and roster. The proof arrives by email in 1–2 business days.
- Review home, away and third jerseys together on one proof, with unlimited revisions.
- Approve and pay the PayPal invoice. We accept PayPal.
- Production runs 2–3 weeks after the invoice is paid.
- Free ground shipping takes 2–5 business days, or 2–4 inside California.
Adding players mid-season
Travel rosters change. A pitcher leaves in April, and two new players join for summer.
Your artwork stays on file, so a new jersey matches the original exactly. Reorders have a 10-piece minimum, which is why most programs keep spares.
Order two or three extra jerseys with numbers only in the first order. Add the name later, or leave it off for a guest player.
If you reach 10 pieces mid-season, combine new players with an extra third jersey or practice wear.
Keep a shared sheet of every number used. It prevents two players from ending up as number 7 when the roster changes in June.
Guest players are common in summer. A spare jersey with a number and no name lets a guest look like part of the team.
Programs with several age groups
Clubs with 9U through 14U teams usually order every team together. Each team keeps its own roster bag, and the whole club gets one discount tier.
For example, four teams of 13 players ordering set plus away jersey is 104 pieces. That reaches the 20% tier at $71.18 per player for both.
Clubs ordering at that size can use our page for bulk team baseball jerseys to plan color variations and roster collection.
Split delivery to each coach's address is free within the US.
The board approves one proof sheet with every team on it. Coaches only need to check their own roster.

Travel Ball Uniforms: questions answered
How much is a travel ball uniform?
From $55.99 per player at 10 sets for jersey plus pants with names and numbers. Adding an away jersey costs the single-jersey price and usually lifts the order into a higher discount tier.
Can we get home and away designs in one order?
Yes, and a third jersey too. All designs share one proof and one invoice.
Which jersey cut do travel teams pick?
Two-button and V-neck for 10U–12U, full-button for 13U and up. Sleeveless is popular as a third jersey for desert tournaments.
Are the pants durable enough for 70 games?
They have a double knee and bar-tacked seams. Most programs replace them because players grow, not because they wear out.
Can we add sponsor names to travel jerseys?
Yes, anywhere on the jersey at no extra charge.
How far ahead of a tournament should we order?
Five to six weeks. That covers the proof, 2–3 weeks of production after payment and free shipping.
Can new players get matching jerseys mid-season?
Yes. Artwork stays on file, but reorders have a 10-piece minimum, so order a few spares with numbers only.
Do you offer mesh jerseys in the set?
Yes. Swap the interlock jersey for micro-mesh at no price change.
What is the minimum for travel ball sets?
10 sets, with youth and adult sizes mixed as needed.
How do travel programs pay?
We email a PayPal invoice after the proof is approved. We accept PayPal.
Do the sets include socks and caps?
No. Each set is jersey and pants; socks can be added per player in the same order.
Can a big club get a sample first?
Yes. For orders of 24 or more, one sewn sample is made at the single-piece price and credited to the order.
