The cut

The front has a two-button henley placket about 5 inches long. Below it, the body is a pullover, so the chest print below the placket is one unbroken panel.

The placket is sewn after the front is sublimated, so the chest print stays whole. Collar trim can be a solid color or printed to match the body.

Sleeves come set-in or raglan. The hem comes straight or with a tail, and it can be worn tucked or out.

The second button sits at about the level of the collarbone. That keeps the opening modest, so a T-shirt underneath does not show much. It also leaves room for a chest logo starting about 2 inches below the placket end.

If you want to compare it against every other cut we make, the full range of jersey styles sits on one page with prices.

  • Set-in sleeves for a cleaner chest print, raglan for a wider range of motion
  • Straight or tail hem
  • Optional sleeve numbers and sponsor marks
  • Buttons in white, black or a trim color
  • Names, numbers and logo included in the price

Where two-button jerseys win

Youth programs pick this cut for two reasons. Small players struggle with six buttons, and the pullover body is easier to size across a roster of 8- to 12-year-olds.

Adult rec leagues pick it because it looks like a uniform without a full placket to fuss with.

Teams that play doubleheaders in the Inland Empire, from Riverside youth fields out to the desert, tend to ask for the lighter 140 gsm fabric. We offer it on this cut at no extra charge.

It also helps with mixed-age rosters. A 9-year-old and a 12-year-old wear the same cut and get the same look, without anyone needing help with a long row of buttons.

Set-in or raglan sleeves

This is the decision most coaches have not thought about until the proof arrives. Both sleeves cost the same, and they change both the look and the feel.

A raglan sleeve runs in one piece from the collar to the cuff. It gives a pitcher more room through the shoulder and makes a contrast sleeve color look natural.

Set-in sleeves keep the shoulder line square. That suits a traditional design with a big chest wordmark, because the print does not wrap around a diagonal seam.

If half your roster pitches, raglan is usually the better call. Pitchers notice the extra room after the third inning.

Lighter fabric for summer ball

The standard body is 160 gsm polyester interlock. It feels substantial and suits spring games and cool coastal evenings.

The 140 gsm lighter interlock breathes more and dries faster. For travel tournaments in July and August, it is the one we recommend. Both print identically, so the colors on the proof do not change.

If you are not sure, think about the hottest weekend on your schedule. If that weekend is a three-game Saturday in the sun, go lighter.

One more option on this cut is 130 gsm micro-mesh side panels. They sit under the arms and down the sides, where sweat builds up first. They print in the same colors as the body.

Weight also affects how the jersey hangs. The 140 gsm body drapes a little softer, and the 160 gsm keeps a crisper shape at the placket for photos.

Two-button jerseys for Little League

Two-button jerseys are a common Little League choice. Still, check your league's rules on numbers and patches before the proof, because some divisions set number height and placement.

Our notes on Little League uniform rules list what to confirm with your league board. A short call with the equipment manager saves a revision round.

Volunteer managers like this cut for a simple reason. Kids can pull it on over a T-shirt in the parking lot without help.

Little League also tends to order jersey, pants and socks together. Ordering them in one cart counts every piece toward the same discount.

Team pricing

Names, numbers, logo and sponsor marks are all in the price. There are no setup, art or per-color fees.

The tier is based on total pieces in the cart, across every product. Jerseys, pants and socks count together.

A 12-player team ordering jerseys only lands at $30.39 each. Add pants for the same 12 players and the whole order moves to the 24-piece tier.

PiecesDiscountPer jersey
10 to 11Base$31.99
12 to 235%$30.39
24 to 4710%$28.79
48 to 9915%$27.19
100+20%$25.59

Ordering for a whole league

Leagues that order every division at once save the most. Ten teams of 12 players is 120 pieces, which reaches the 20% tier.

Each team gets its own colors and names, and we bag and label every roster separately. If your league already has a uniform plan, the Little League uniform packages page shows jersey, pants and socks sets per player.

One person should own the spreadsheet. Leagues that collect sizes from ten different managers get ten different formats, and that slows the proof.

  1. Send one spreadsheet with a tab or column for each team.
  2. Pick one template, then a color pair for each team.
  3. We build one proof per team, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
  4. The league approves all proofs and pays one PayPal invoice.
  5. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, or about 4 weeks above 200 pieces.
  6. We ship free and can split boxes to each manager's address.

Sizing growing players

Youth sizes run YS to YXL. We print the same artwork scaled to the youth pattern, so a YS and an adult 2XL look like the same jersey.

Kids grow during a season. For players on the edge, order one size up. A slightly long two-button jersey looks fine tucked, and a short one rides up on every swing.

For a side-by-side look at youth and adult chest widths, our youth baseball jerseys in every size page lists both. It helps when a 13U roster straddles the two size runs.

Adult sizes run S to 3XL, so coaches and older brothers who help in the dugout can be in the same order.

Match the rest of the kit

Order the same colors on baseball practice shirts for warm-ups and pre-game. The two sets look like one program on the field and in the dugout.

Practice shirts take a lot of dirt and sliding. Keeping the game jersey for games only adds a season or two to its life.

Many teams also add matching socks in the trim color. Socks come in Youth, M, L and XL, and they count toward the tier like everything else.

What to check on the proof

The proof shows the front, the back and both sleeves with your roster. Go through it slowly before you approve.

Approval is the last chance to change anything for free and without delay. Once the invoice is paid, the files go to print.

If something on the proof is unclear, call or message our team order desk by phone or email, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific. A two-minute call often replaces a full revision round.

  • The top of the chest logo sits below the placket, not under the second button
  • Front numbers are on the left or right chest, clear of the placket
  • Raglan sleeve colors are what you want on both arms
  • Every name is spelled as the player wants it, including hyphens
  • No two players on one team share a number
  • Youth and adult sizes are marked correctly in the size list

Travel team extras

Travel teams often order two jerseys per player, one light and one dark, in the same two-button cut. Both count toward one discount tier.

Before a tournament season, run through our travel ball uniform checklist for the items teams forget, like spare jerseys for guest players.

Two jerseys per player also takes the pressure off laundry between Saturday and Sunday games. Nobody has to find a washing machine at a tournament hotel.

Two-Button Baseball Jerseys: questions answered

What is the difference between a two-button and a full-button jersey?

A two-button jersey is a pullover with a short placket at the neck. A full-button jersey opens all the way down. Two-button is lighter, a dollar cheaper and easier for young players, while full-button looks more traditional.

How much do two-button baseball jerseys cost?

From $31.99 per jersey at 10 pieces, with names, numbers and logo included. It drops to $30.39 at 12 pieces and $25.59 at 100.

Can we have raglan sleeves in a different color?

Yes. Raglan sleeves in a contrast color, a fade or a pinstripe are printed in the same sublimation pass at no extra cost.

Is the lighter fabric worth it?

For summer travel ball and doubleheaders, yes. The 140 gsm option breathes more and dries faster, while the standard 160 gsm feels more substantial for spring ball.

Can we put a sponsor on the sleeve?

Yes. Send the sponsor's logo and we place it on the proof. Sponsor marks are sublimated and included in the price.

Do you do youth sizes?

Yes, YS to YXL. The same artwork is scaled to the youth pattern, so a YS and a 2XL look like the same jersey.

What is the minimum order?

10 pieces across any sizes and styles.

How do I send the roster?

Reply to the proof email with names and numbers in any format: a spreadsheet, a photo of a sheet, or a list in the email. You check spellings on the proof before approval.

Can numbers go on the front too?

Yes. Front chest numbers, back numbers and sleeve numbers are all included.

How is payment handled?

You approve the proof first, then we email a PayPal invoice. We accept PayPal, and production begins once the invoice is paid.

How long is the placket?

About 5 inches with two buttons. It opens enough to pull the jersey on easily without exposing much of the undershirt.

Can we mix two-button jerseys with other cuts in one order?

Yes. Many teams order two-button jerseys for players and full-button jerseys for coaches, and every piece counts toward the same discount tier.
