Baseball Jersey T-Shirts

Item CBJ-TEE · Made to order
From $26.99per piece · names & numbers included · 10-piece minimum

A jersey tee is a soft t-shirt printed to look like a jersey. The placket, the buttons, the pinstripes and the chest script are all part of the print. Fans, booster clubs, coaches on travel days and casual adult teams order them because they cost less than a jersey and go in the wash with everything else.

What makes it a jersey tee

From ten feet away it reads as a baseball jersey. Up close it is a crew-neck tee with no buttons, no placket seam and nothing to snag in the laundry.

That trade is the whole point. Families get the team look without a garment that needs ironing, and the shirt is comfortable enough to wear to school or work.

Set-in sleeves give a classic tee shape. Raglan sleeves let you run a contrast color from the collar to the cuff, which looks closer to a vintage warm-up top.

  • 150 gsm soft-hand polyester knit that feels close to a cotton tee but takes sublimation
  • Printed placket and button line, pinstripes, piping and sleeve bands
  • Names and numbers on the back, chest script or logo on the front
  • Crew neck with set-in or raglan sleeves
  • Youth YS to YXL and adult S to 3XL

Why it is polyester, not cotton

Sublimation only bonds to polyester. That is how we print a full pinstripe pattern edge to edge without a heavy ink layer sitting on top.

Our tee fabric is brushed on the face so it feels soft, closer to a favorite cotton shirt than to a slick gym top. It also dries faster than cotton after a hot afternoon in the stands.

The print is inside the fiber. There is no plastic-feeling patch on the chest, no cracking after twenty washes, and no peeling numbers on the back.

One practical note: polyester holds a little more heat in direct sun than a thin cotton tee. For long summer tournaments, lighter body colors such as white, grey or sky blue stay cooler in the stands.

Who orders jersey tees

Most orders come from people near the team rather than on it. Because the tee is printed, every shirt can have a different name and number at the same price.

Tees are also the easiest way to dress a coaching staff. Assistant coaches who only need to look part of the team rarely need a full game jersey of their own.

Women's teams and moms' groups sometimes want a fitted look instead. The women's baseball jerseys page covers that cut for players.

  • Booster clubs dressing the bleachers in team colors
  • Youth programs ordering matching shirts for picture day and travel
  • Coaches who want a top that matches the players without buying a full jersey
  • Grandparents and siblings who want their player's name and number
  • Adult groups playing a one-off tournament or company game
  • Team photographers and scorekeepers who need to look official

Copying the players' jersey onto a tee

The best jersey tees borrow everything from the game jersey: same script, same colors, same stripe spacing. Send us the jersey artwork and we adapt it to the tee.

Some details change on the way. A real button placket becomes a printed line. A twill number becomes a printed number. The proof shows the tee next to the jersey so you can compare.

Pinstripe designs translate especially well. If your players wear pinstripe baseball jerseys, the fan tee can carry the same stripe width and color.

Keep the back number a little smaller than on the game jersey, around 8 inches on adult sizes. A tee is worn closer up, and a full game-size number can look oversized on a youth small.

Jersey tee or real jersey

For league games, players need a real jersey with a working placket and fabric built for sliding. Our custom baseball jerseys start at $32.99 and have that build.

For everyone else, the tee is the better buy. Many programs order both in one cart: jerseys for players, tees for the families. The combined count lowers the price of everything.

A good middle ground for coaches is one real jersey for games plus two or three tees for travel days, practices they are not running, and team dinners.

Design ideas that work on a tee

Tees let you have more fun than a game uniform allows. Umpires do not care what the bleachers wear.

Try a throwback version of your colors, a "Mom" or "Dad" in place of the surname, or a season year under the number. Grandparents often order a lighter body color so they stand out in the stands.

Parents of younger players also like a tee in the exact game design with their child's number. On picture day it puts the whole family in the team shot without anyone looking out of place.

If you are designing from scratch, our step-by-step on designing a custom baseball jersey covers script, number placement and color contrast. All of it applies to tees.

Avoid tiny text in the printed placket area. The fake button line already breaks up the chest, so the script needs to be bold enough to read across it.

Price for families and boosters

Tees start at $26.99 at 10 pieces. Names, numbers, logos and sponsor marks are all included.

Booster clubs usually collect orders for a few weeks and place one order. Fifty shirts reach the 15% tier, which brings each tee down to $22.94.

Some boosters add a small markup and sell the tees as a fundraiser. That is your call; our price to you stays the same per tier.

Running a booster club order

Most coaches start the design on Design Your Jerseys and share it with parents before collecting sizes. The order then runs like this.

A shared spreadsheet with columns for name, number, size and ship-to address saves hours. It is the format we work from fastest, too.

  1. Set a deadline for families to send sizes, names and numbers.
  2. Collect everything into one list, one line per shirt.
  3. Send the list with the design. A proof arrives in 1–2 business days.
  4. Check every name for spelling. Revisions are free and unlimited.
  5. Approve the proof and pay the PayPal invoice we email. We accept PayPal.
  6. Tees are made in 2–3 weeks and ship free by US ground.

Getting shirts to scattered families

Club teams often draw players from several towns. Rather than have one parent sort fifty shirts in a garage, we can split the order.

Split delivery to several US addresses is free. Each coach or team parent gets their own box with just their group's shirts.

Inside California, ground shipping usually takes 2–4 business days. Our shipping and returns page has the full delivery details.

Tell us the split when you send the roster, not after the proof. Each line on the list just needs a ship-to name, so we can group the shirts before they are packed.

For casual and adult teams

Some adult groups play in tees and never buy a full jersey. For a company game, a charity tournament or a pickup league, a jersey tee is plenty.

If your group plays a full season in a sanctioned league, look at our adult league baseball jerseys instead. They go up to 4XL and have the fabric for sliding.

Adult teams often order tees for the after-game barbecue and real jerseys for the field. Both share one cart and one discount tier.

Sizing and care

The tee fits like a regular t-shirt, a little roomier than a game jersey. Order your normal t-shirt size.

Youth sizes run YS to YXL. Parents ordering for younger siblings can size up one step so the shirt lasts two seasons.

Wash in cold water and tumble dry low or hang dry. The print will not fade or crack, and the polyester keeps its shape.

When the weather turns, the same design can go on a sweatshirt. The team hoodies and sweatshirts page has the cold-weather version.
