What is in a set

Every set has the same two pieces, made to match from one piece of artwork. The jersey colors, the pant stripe and the piping all come from the same proof, so nothing clashes on the field.

Both pieces come in youth sizes YS–YXL, and each player can have a different jersey and pant size.

The set is one line in the cart per player. That keeps the roster simple: name, number, jersey size, pant size and nothing else to track.

To compare every team and league option side by side, browse our uniforms for teams and leagues. It groups youth, high school and adult programs in one place.

  • One sublimated jersey (two-button, V-neck or full-button) with name, number and logo
  • One pair of pants: full length or knicker, in white, grey or a team color
  • A side stripe on the pants printed in your team colors
  • Elastic waist with internal drawstring, belt loops and a double-layer knee
  • Sizes YS–YXL on both pieces, mixed per player

Pants that survive a youth season

Youth pants take more abuse than the jersey. Sliding, kneeling in the on-deck circle, grass and red infield dirt all land on the knees first.

Ours use a 220 gsm polyester double-knit with a second layer of fabric at the knee. The stripe is printed rather than sewn tape, so there is nothing to fray or peel at the seam.

The elastic waist with drawstring handles the range of builds on a youth roster. A thin eight-year-old and a stocky one can wear the same size and both cinch it to fit.

Belt loops are sewn on as well, so teams that want a belt can wear one. Most 8U teams skip the belt and rely on the drawstring, which is one less thing to forget on game day.

Full length or knickers

Knickers end below the knee and show the sock. Most Little League teams pick them, because the colored sock adds a team color without extra cost.

Full-length pants are more common for 13U and up. They cover the leg on a slide, which older players appreciate on hard infields. Both styles are the same price.

You can pick one style for the whole team or let players choose. Most coaches pick one, since a mixed dugout looks less like a team in photos.

For leagues with charter rules on uniforms, the Little League uniform page goes deeper into what those programs order, including knicker and sock combinations.

Sizing jerseys and pants separately

Kids do not grow evenly. A player can need a YM jersey and a YL pant, especially in the 10–12 age range when legs grow first.

Enter the jersey size in the cart and note pant sizes in the order notes, or we confirm them on the proof. Our youth and adult uniform size chart has the measurements to check against.

When in doubt on pants, go up. The drawstring takes in a loose waist. A hem that is a little long on a knicker still sits right once the sock is pulled up.

Avoid buying two sizes up to last two seasons. The knee reinforcement ends up at the shin, and the pant bunches at the ankle on full-length styles.

  1. Measure the chest for the jersey size.
  2. Measure the waist at the belly button for the pant size.
  3. Measure the inseam from crotch to ankle for full-length pants.
  4. Pick the larger size if any measurement falls between two sizes.
  5. List both sizes next to each player's name on the roster.

White, grey or team color pants

White and grey are the classic options. Because the pants are sublimated, any team color is available at the same price.

White looks sharpest in photos and shows dirt the most. Grey hides the infield better and is the safe pick for a team with one set of pants for every game.

Team-color pants, like black or navy, are popular with younger divisions where parents do the laundry. They hide grass stains, and the stripe can be a bright accent color.

A two-pant plan is common for travel teams. White for home games and photos, grey or team color for tournaments where the same pants get worn three times in a weekend.

Whatever color you pick, the side stripe can repeat the jersey trim. A navy jersey with red piping pairs with grey pants and a navy and red stripe.

Price per youth uniform set

Sets are priced per player, and the price includes the jersey with name, number and logo plus the pants with stripe. There are no setup, art or per-color fees.

A coach can use the tier price as the per-family fee. A 12-player team at $53.19 per set comes to $638.28 for the roster. For a league-wide figure, request a quote for all your teams.

Leagues outfitting several teams reach the upper tiers fast. Five teams of 12 is 60 sets, which lands every set in the 15% tier at $47.59 per player.

Socks, belts and caps

Sets do not include socks or belts. Add custom team baseball socks to the cart and they ship in the same box.

With socks added, a full head-to-toe look for a youth roster runs about $66 per player at base prices. It drops once the cart reaches a discount tier.

Belts are easy to buy locally. Pick one in the sock color so the waist and the legs tie together. Socks come in Youth, M, L and XL.

We do not make caps, so plan those separately. Match the cap color to the socks or the jersey trim.

Sets or jerseys only

Some programs only need tops, because families already own pants or the league provides them. For those teams, our youth baseball jerseys page sells the jersey on its own.

Sets make the most sense for new teams, travel teams and any league that wants every team to look finished. They also save parents a trip to a sporting goods store hunting for the right shade of grey.

If you start with jerseys only and add pants later, ask us to match the stripe to the jersey trim. Matching is easiest when the original artwork is still on file.

Leagues ordering for every team

A recreation league can order sets for every team in one cart. Each team gets its own color, and all sets count toward one discount tier.

Split delivery to several US addresses is free, so each coach can receive their own team's box. Leagues in the capital region often send boxes to several fields, and our Sacramento youth uniform page covers local delivery times.

Board members usually want one invoice and one contact for the whole league. That works fine here, with each team's design shown on the proof before anything is printed.

Care for white pants and colored jerseys

White pants stay white through a cold wash with a little oxygen bleach. Treat red dirt stains before the wash, not after, since dried clay sets into the knit.

Wash jerseys and pants separately for the first few washes if the jersey is a dark color. Turn everything inside out and tumble low or hang dry.

Keep a stain stick in the team bag. A quick treatment between games on a tournament weekend does more than any wash at home on Sunday night.

  • Rinse knees with cold water right after the game
  • Use oxygen bleach on white pants, never chlorine bleach
  • Skip fabric softener on both pieces
  • Hang pants by the waist to dry overnight

Timeline for a youth season

The proof arrives in 1–2 business days, with unlimited revisions. Production takes 2–3 weeks after the proof is approved and the PayPal invoice is paid.

Free ground shipping takes 2–5 business days, or 2–4 inside California. Order 4–5 weeks before opening day. Our travel ball uniform checklist helps teams with tournament dates plan further ahead.

Leave room for one size swap. A week of slack before opening day means a player who outgrew the sample size still gets a uniform for the first game.

Fall ball teams should count back from their first fall game, not from school starting. Summer travel schedules leave the late August window crowded.
