What a high school program needs
High school programs need uniforms that look right on the field and survive a varsity schedule. They also need a vendor who can work with the athletic office.
That means a written quote, a clear proof and a single invoice. It also means a delivery that is easy to hand out.
This set covers the uniform itself: a full-button jersey and pants per player. Socks and caps are not part of the set price.
Coaches, boosters and athletic directors all order from this page. Often the coach picks the look, the booster club raises the money and the athletic office signs off.
Uniforms at this level usually stay in service for several seasons. Spending a little more time on the design now saves a lot of reorders later.

What varsity programs get
Full-button is the standard at this level. It matches what players see in college and on television, and it photographs well for senior night.
If you want to compare fronts anyway, the page for full-button baseball jerseys shows collar and placket options in detail.
- Full-button jersey with a fold-down collar, in 160 gsm polyester interlock
- Sublimated numbers and lettering included, or sewn tackle twill as an upgrade
- Pants in white, grey or a school color, open-bottom or knicker, in 220 gsm double-knit
- School name or city across the chest, with a logo on the sleeve
- Varsity and JV in one order with a different trim so they are easy to tell apart
Matching school colors
School colors are the first thing a principal or booster notices. A navy that reads purple or a gold that reads mustard will get sent back.
Send a Pantone code if the school has one. If not, send a clear photo of a current uniform or a school banner in daylight.
The proof is calibrated to that reference. Ask for changes until the color is right, since revisions are unlimited.
Our guide on how to design a custom baseball jersey covers lettering, color contrast and number placement.
Some schools have two official versions of the same color, one for print and one for apparel. Tell us which one the athletic office uses so the jerseys match the gym banners and the team bus.
- Pantone codes give the most reliable match
- Daylight photos beat photos taken under gym lights
- Avoid matching to a screen, since every monitor shows color differently
- Send the school logo as a vector file if the district has one
Varsity, JV and frosh in one order
One order with three levels shares one discount tier. A program with 18 varsity and 18 JV players orders 36 sets, which reaches the 10% tier.
That works out to $50.39 per player, or $1,814.04 for both teams with free shipping.
Each level gets its own proof page, so the coach of each team can check the roster that belongs to them.
Keep numbers unique within each level, not across levels. A varsity 12 and a JV 12 can both exist. Just give call-ups a spare jersey with a different number.
| Level | Common difference | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Varsity | Twill numbers, full trim, sleeve logo | Top look for the top team |
| JV | Printed numbers, simpler trim | Same family, clearly different |
| Frosh | Alternate color body or no piping | Easy to sort at the equipment room |
Pricing per player
Each price covers a jersey and pants with printed names and numbers. There are no setup, art or per-color fees.
Tackle twill is quoted per jersey on the proof. Socks and other items in the same cart count toward the tier.
A second jersey for away games costs the single-jersey price, with the same tier applied. Many programs add a grey or color alternate this way and still stay on one invoice.
| Sets in cart | Discount | Per player |
|---|---|---|
| 10–11 | Base price | $55.99 |
| 12–23 | 5% | $53.19 |
| 24–47 | 10% | $50.39 |
| 48–99 | 15% | $47.59 |
| 100+ | 20% | $44.79 |
Twill versus printed numbers
Printed numbers are included in the set price. They are sublimated into the fabric, weigh nothing and never peel.
Many varsity programs upgrade to sewn tackle twill names and numbers. That is the finish on our embroidered baseball jerseys, with a raised edge you can feel.
Twill is quoted per jersey and adds about a week to production. Plan on 3–4 weeks after payment instead of 2–3.
A common split is twill for varsity and printed for JV. The look stays related, and the budget goes where the crowd sees it.
Sublimated numbers are lighter and cooler on hot spring afternoons. Twill adds weight but gives the classic sewn finish many alumni expect to see.
Twill also needs a little more care. Wash cold, inside out, and air dry so the stitched edges stay flat.
Pants for a varsity schedule
High school players slide hard and play on skin infields that eat cheap pants. The 220 gsm double-knit has a double knee for that reason.
Pick open-bottom, hemmed or knicker. White and grey are the classic home and away pair, and a school color is available for an alternate.
Piping and stripes are printed to match the jersey trim exactly. If you only need pants this year, order custom baseball pants on their own and keep your current jerseys.
Players who wear knickers should order the same pant size they would in open-bottom. The length difference is in the cut, not the size.
Order one or two spare pairs per level. Pants tear on slides more often than jerseys do, and a spare pair avoids a mid-season reorder.
Quotes and payment for the athletic office
Most schools need a price in writing before anything is approved. Ask for a written uniform quote with per-item pricing, the tier and the timeline.
That quote can travel with your district's purchasing paperwork. The proof sheet can go with it, so the approver sees exactly what is being bought.
Payment is a PayPal invoice emailed after the proof is approved. We accept PayPal. The invoice can go to the business office, a booster treasurer or the coach.
Nothing is charged before the proof is approved, which makes internal sign-off simpler.
When a booster club helps pay, decide who receives the invoice before you approve the proof. That saves a week of forwarded emails between the coach, the club and the office.
Season timeline
California high school baseball starts early in the year. Work back from your first game, and leave extra time for twill and school paperwork.
If your school needs board or committee approval for purchases, start in October instead. The production time stays the same, but the paperwork can take weeks.
- November: pick the design and gather school color references.
- Early December: request the quote and get the first proof in 1–2 business days.
- December: collect sizes and numbers from tryout rosters and revise the proof.
- Mid-December: approve the proof and have the invoice paid.
- January: production runs 2–3 weeks, or 3–4 weeks with twill.
- Late January: free shipping to the school, 2–4 business days inside California.
Sizing a high school roster
Adult sizes run S to 3XL. Freshmen and sophomores often still fit S or M, while linemen who also play baseball may need 2XL or 3XL.
Have players try on last year's uniform if you have one, then adjust. Measure anyone who has grown since the fall.
The baseball uniform size chart lists chest and length for every size. Sizes are locked at proof approval, so collect them before you sign off.
Order two extra sets in common sizes such as M and L. Late transfers and call-ups from JV can then wear a matching uniform from day one.
Catchers often size up one so the jersey moves freely in a crouch. Pitchers usually prefer their true size for a clean arm path.
Delivery to the school
Uniforms arrive at the school with each player's jersey and pants bagged together. Every bag is labeled by name and number.
The equipment manager can hand out a full roster in one afternoon. At season's end, uniforms go back into the same bags.
If varsity and JV need to go to different campuses or fields, split delivery to several US addresses is free. Our shipping and returns page has the transit details.
We ship to the address on the order. Give us the athletic office or field house, not a front office that closes at 3pm. Ask whoever signs for the boxes to hold them for the coach.
