Travel Ball Uniform Checklist: Home and Away Sets That Survive a Tournament Season
Updated 2026-10-17
A checklist for club and travel baseball programs ordering uniforms: how many jerseys per player, pants that last, hot-weather options, spares, caps, bags and what to budget.
Per player: the minimum kit
Most programs add a third jersey, a sleeveless vest or a camo alternate, for Sunday bracket games and desert tournaments. That third piece is what pushes a 14-player order into the 15% tier.
- Two game jerseys (home and away) in the club design
- One pair of pants, double knee, with the club stripe
- Two practice shirts
- Team socks in the club color
- A belt that matches the pant piping
Budget per player
Prices use our base rates with the automatic discount. Practice shirts and socks count toward the tier.
| Build | Pieces (14 players) | Tier | About per player |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jersey + pants | 28 | 10% | $49 |
| Two jerseys + pants | 42 | 10% | $76 |
| Three jerseys + pants + socks | 70 | 15% | $107 |
| Add two practice shirts | 98 | 15% | $139 |
Choices that pay off over 70 games
- Micro-mesh for the home jersey, interlock for the away jersey: a light jersey for doubleheaders and a heavier one for photos.
- Double-knee pants. Dirt infields in Visalia and Lancaster go through single-layer pants in a season.
- Numbers with an outline on any patterned jersey so they read from the stands.
- Sponsor marks in one color so they print clean on every jersey variation.
- Two spares per team in the most common size, with unused numbers.
Hot-weather tournaments
Phoenix, Las Vegas, Fresno and the Inland Empire in June demand a sleeveless vest or a micro-mesh V-neck. Order undershirts in a solid dark color for pitchers. If your program plays in both coastal spring and desert summer, two fabrics across the two jerseys is the right call; see the travel ball uniforms set for how the pieces are priced together.
Timing and reorders
Order five to six weeks before the first tournament. Keep the artwork file; when a player joins mid-season you can reorder in the same design. Reorders have a 10-piece minimum, which is another reason to order spares and practice shirts up front.
- Set the first tournament date.
- Count back six weeks and place the order.
- Approve the proof within two days.
- Order spares with open numbers for mid-season pickups.
